What to Expect at a Boudoir Shoot

If you recently read the blog post about WHY you should do a boudoir shoot and have been fully convinced, let me tell you about what you can expect on the day of and after!

1.Hair/Makeup

For my boudoir marathon I did a while back, I had my girl Kelly Amos doing hair and makeup! This can differ, however. Maybe you’ve got someone in mind you want to get you all dolled up? That’s totally fine! Wherever your comfort level is at, honestly. But getting all spruced up definitely helps get you in the mindset of the shoot!

2. Process

While I’m in the process of setting up a designated studio space (coming soon, y’all!) I will usually book an Airbnb or studio so that you can be 100% comfortable, and also have a level of privacy. You can choose from a few different outfits that you’ve brought along, too!

3. Keeping it Fun and Flirty

If you haven’t done a boudoir shoot before, I completely understand how it can feel awkward. Let me tell you firsthand though, it can be a TON of fun! You’re wearing your fave lingerie, you’re all dressed up, and the focus is on you! It’s all about getting you comfortable in front of the camera.

4. ALL the Boundaries!

Whatever you’re comfortable with, never be afraid to tell me! I’ve had some past clients want more risqué photos, while others want to keep it flirty and modest. This is your call, and I’m here to make sure that you’re not only having a total blast, but you feel like yourself the whole time too!

5. Book + Fun Memories

After the fun day of feeling like a pinup model, you get a whole book of the best photos as a keepsake for you, or maybe even a gift to your boo! Either way, you’ll look back on the whole experience and get to relive all the fun you had.
