Morgan Wedding | Whimsical Spring Wedding at The Mill at Yellow River in Porterdale, Georgia | Atlanta Georgia Wedding Photographer
Morgan and Michael took the plunge and said 'I do' on April 14, 2018 at The Mill at Yellow River in Porterdale, Georgia. There is sooo much I want to say about Mo and Mike and their special day, so PREPARE YOURSELVES.
First of all, it's a little scary to hire someone that lives across multiple states away, so I love them 1000 times more just for that. Leading up to the day, I was nervous because this was my first major out of state wedding. And I could tell Morgan was nervous too. I didn't know the dynamic between Morgan and Michael and had no idea what to expect. They were nice enough to invite me and my second shooter to their rehearsal dinner at Mellow Mushroom. We got to Atlanta a little late, but made it there. Meeting them felt like I had known them forever. Also pizza and beer for a rehearsal dinner is where it's at. Totally my kind of people. 😎
Second, Morgan and Michael are made for each other. I'm talking a perfect match. He completes her and she completes them. They are both just naturally witty and there is always laughter, which is another thing that makes me love them as a couple so much.
Lastly, their big day was not without bumps, there will most likely always be some kind of bump because that's life, but they didn't let it get to them and enjoyed the moment while they could. And that's just another reason to love them even more.
When Michael saw Morgan during their first look, it was the sweetest thing ever. He teared up and you could just FEEL the love between them. He lit up when he saw her for the first time. Morgan walked down the aisle to Bright Eyes "First Day of My Life", which is one of my favorite songs, and it was SO FITTING. I will admit I teared up. Morgan's veil blew off during the ceremony because it was windy, but she laughed it off and carried on. The vows were BEAUTIFUL. (Morgan's are written later in this post.) Their first dance was a hodge podge of amazing songs and they just laughed and danced like the two kids in love they are. Also, can't forget the "Rocky Top" festivities during the reception. 😜
This will always be one of my favorite and most memorable weddings. I am SOSOSO thankful that Morgan and Michael trusted me to capture their special day. It means SO much when a couple puts all of their trust in you. At the end of their day, I gained two friends and I am so grateful for them. They are such a freaking blast. I couldn't be happier for them! Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Morgan! (Yep, she is now Morgan Morgan. 😉)
Michael,
I can still remember the feeling I had the first night we danced together. The feeling I had found my guy, person, my love. You came into my life at the most unexpected time. God knew what he was doing when he brought me you. You are my best friend, my love, my forever. As I stand here today, I vow to eat Asian food at least once a month, let you touch me when I am mad (we both know you need that), and to always laugh with you and at you. I vow to not get mad when Addie loves you more even though it makes me sad. But most importantly, I promise you love you fiercely. In all your forms, now and forever. I choose you to struggle and succeed, to fight and to make up, to love and grow old. Forever and always. I choose you.
